Why I Dropped Out of College

I dropped out of grad school about seven or eight years ago.

I decided that I could use the money I was spending on tuition for somewhat generic courses to learn actual technical skills in areas that I really cared about instead.

While I don’t invest the full grad school tuition amount each month anymore, ever since that day I have made it a priority to continually invest in education. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on courses, books, and workshops, specifically focused on the skills I wanted to learn.

Right now I’m working my way through a drone pilot certification training and an online film school. Over the course of the next year I would like to try to do a mentorship with a wedding filmmaker, and audit some film classes at a local college.

What are your education goals for the next year?
