What is the most important part of your wedding day?
For me it was the photography, but whatever it is for you, it’s good to prioritize the different elements (photo, floral, reception meal, etc.) early on.
Having a filter to pass your 100 wedding planning decisions through will make the process so much easier!
Ricky and I eloped, so for me the photographs of the day were my highest priority. I picked a beautiful cabin in the woods, next to a river, so we didn’t have to rent a venue, bought a couple bouquets at Wal-Mart the day before, then discarded some flowers and rearranged the others to make my bridal bouquet.
The day of our ceremony we had a Spotify playlist for a DJ, and Ricky’s childhood best friend as our officiant, and it was perfect.
I know such a simple setup is not the best fit for everyone, but I would encourage you, if you’re in the planning process now, to take a few minutes and pick out your top one or two priorities.
Having a clear vision will help guide you through your planning and make sure you arrive at a wedding day that’s perfectly designed for you!
