Scott and Nancy's Winter Wedding

Updated: Jan 7, 2021

Our Capitol Hill family was able to end the year with family and friends, celebrating the marriage of two of the nicest people!

Scott and Nancy Kisler were married in a beautiful New Year’s Eve ceremony at Capitol Hill Assembly of God.

The ceremony looked like a winter wonderland, complete with Christmas trees, twinkle lights, and icicles.

I loved seeing Nancy's face light up as the ceremony ended and she was finally able - after a long day of prep - to be with Scott. Neither one of them could stop smiling.

Friends of Scott and Nancy created the beautiful bouquets, boutonnieres, and floral arrangements that were used at the ceremony, and worked hard to transform the reception area into a continuation of the winter wonderland theme present at the ceremony.

Just as the ceremony ended a real winter wonderland starting moving it. The winter storm brought with it record-breaking amounts of snow – more than Oklahoma City had seen on a New Year’s Day since the 1800’s!

That didn’t stop everyone from gathering outside in the freezing rain though to see Scott and Nancy off with a sparkler sendoff! I think Scott only got burned just a little bit by everyone crowded under the awning with their sparklers, lol. It was definitely a memorable sendoff!

Thank you, Scott and Nancy, for allowing me to be part of your beautiful special day! I had the best time, and I hope that this was just the first of many more happy days together as husband and wife!
